Professional Development for Carers
PROFESSIONAL DEVELOPMENT FOR CARERS, ASSISTANTS IN NURSING AND ENROLLED NURSES
Hartbeat Training and Consultancy would like to introduce our plan of events for 2009. We have been aware that there has been little in the way of professional development for Carers and AINs in particular but also for EN’s. To fill that gap we are organising a professional development day in April. There will be limited positions but in the event there is further demand we will organise another one at a later date. We also plan on having a follow up one in the 2nd half of the year with even more interesting subjects. Topics to be covered are:
- Grieving – Looking after Family and Myself – Social Worker Richard Spedding
- Correct use of Symborcort - presented by Astra Zenica
- Diabetes – Karen McSweeney
- Patient weight loss or gain – Jacqui Kaye Dietician
- Wheel chairs, Walking frames and Walking Sticks does one size Fit All – Tina Garrett occupational Therapist
- Trade Displays
Date: Thursday 30 April 2009 8.30am for 8-45am start til 3pm
Cost: $90 includes Morning Tea and Lunch – Bookings Essential
